Artistic Director and Conductor Rachel Dirks opens the season with Voices of Women. This unique program features women composers and guest artists singer/songwriter Heidi Gluck. Artists from the Boys and Girls Club will share pictures demonstrating what they love about Lawrence in a special exhibit. Our partner Willow Domestic Violence Center will share their mission and how they impact our community.

Symphony 1 in E Minor, by Florence Price, the first African-American woman to be recognized as a symphonic composer and the first to have a composition played by a major orchestra

”City Beautiful” by Dr. Ingrid Stölzel, composer and associate professor of composition at the University of Kansas|

”Changing Faces” by Dr. Alyssa Morris, composer and associate professor of oboe and music theory at Kansas State University
